"Welcome to the most rocking cathedral in the UK!"

That's the welcome the excited audience received before the long anticipated concert by Anna Calvi began. In the magnificent Manchester cathedral,the red lights went on and the Halloween Alaska from Minneapolis,as they were a little too keen to repeat, warmed up the stage; good intentions,a smooth bass line and strong piano combo, but at the end of the day,a rather meagre musical trip.


By 9 o clock, Anna Calvi's bright star came to illuminate the gothic scenery with a dreamy guitar overture that resonated like an cherubic hymn;The first notes of No more words started to pull us into her music vision; eyes almost shut for at least half of the time,red fingernails charming the tasta,this tiny princess dressed in red and black is going a long way...
