And with a sudden twist, winter returned and blew away our hope for an early spring. The tree outside my window has been in full bloom for two weeks and after struggling with the winds, its blossoms now adorn the asphalt road.
But who's to say who wins or loses by the end of the day? The flavour of defeat may caress the roof of our palates for a while but we have yet to see the ending of our wars. And if Kubler-Ross and Kessler are right and we only experience true freedom when we do the things that scare us most in life, we are always just a step away from happiness on the continuum. Like one of my wonderful tutors recently said " suffering in silence is a fool's game" so share your fears before they overtake whatever space for dreams and creativity was left in your right hemisphere.
